July News - Chamboche, X-Press2, COR & Vintage festival

Hello guys

It's been a very busy couple of weeks or so here so been a bit late getting this one together however there's plenty to tell so I'm glad I finally got the time.

This weekend is a great one for me to be honest, 2 consecutive nights on the decks in Brighton with great guests joining me chamboche + rocky & diesel + andy g

FRIDAY 8 JULY - Chamboche joins Pablo at Disco Deviant, Above Audio, 10-3 Free entry, Killer cuts and cocktails.

SAT 9 JULY - X-Press2, Pablo Contraband & Andy G are playing Warehouse at Audio 11-4 - Free B4 12 £5 after. Good old Rocky & Diesel come to Brighton and show us how it's done always a great night with these two on the decks, they've been in the studio again so I'd expect we'll be treated to some exclusive material and we all know how unique X-Press2 are. It's also Andy G's Birthday so probably best he plays before them rather than later... he does like a drink!

Sat 16 July - Audio Terrace with the Disco Deviant crew - If the suns comes out to play then so will we, 3-8pm BBQ etc on The Terrace at Audio if you are beachside come and have a bit of a wiggle in the open air.

Sat 22 July - C.O.R have invited Pablo Contraband as their guest for the night, let me know if you fancy coming along and a maybe a few of us can head along the South Coast for the evening. They are a great bunch of guys and certainly know how to have a good time.

Fri 29 - 31 July - Vintage Festival at Southbank Centre - OK so it's not at Goodwood this year, so we're not outdoors, no camping, 45mins on the train Brighton to London Bridge, Weatherall, Greg Wilson, The Revenge, Unabombers, Disco Deviance, Horse Meat Disco, Pablo Contraband, Dr Bob Jones, Craig Charles, Kate Wildblood + many many more, plus all the other arenas and the Festival of Britain. Hell yeah! Get involved as this promises to be a major event. LINK

It's come around pretty quick - April is upon us, BST, a Royal Wedding, Mothers day, Easter, longer days and warmer weather.... we hope! Oh and a shed load of Bank Holidays to enjoy!!

Briefly I wanna give you the low down on Disco Deviant for the month ahead. Got a lot to pack in so here we go.

It's been two years since we launched Disco Deviant as a club night in April 2009 so we're happy we have Andrew Weatherall, Pablo Contraband, Lloyd & Fazz (Nocturnal), Local Zero and Johnny Jilted all booked up for our Birthday Beano at Audio on Friday April 15th. Tickets are £7+bf  and are selling very quickly so grab yours and get along to this one.

Some of you may have caught him at Vintage (WOW!) and as you may have heard on the rumour mill Horse Meat Disco have also booked him for May Bank Holiday in Vauxhall. Exciting prospect to be playing alongside one of my biggest influences and to be honest the DJ I was / am most obsessed with. A real craftsman that makes being exceptional look so easy.

Pretty glad January is out the way seemed to drag a bit, Feb's here and off to a flying start with the Go Bang & Maxxi boys both throwing great parties last Friday. Tensnake was really good.

Ok so down to business, couple of nights I want you to know about in Feb.

First is our monthly session Above Audio - each month I invite a guest to join me for the evening, been pretty good overall with some extra sound, £4 cocktails and free entry complimenting the tunes nicely.

Brighton-based Rob Fahey – AKA Alphabet City – is one of the fastest-rising producers on the nu-boogie/disco scene having been responsible for the brilliant ‘Turn Me Up’/’Lowdown’ single on Finland’s Traveller Records and 'Lay it on the Line' released on Lazy Days Recordings (complete with Fred Everything reworks)... In the coming months he has singles due out on Under The Shade (with remixes from Toby Tobias and Downtown Party Network) and  the brand new edits label from NYC - Alpha Beta.
