This is the last Disco Deviant party we will be throwing locally. After 10 years I have decided it's time to stop running these parties in Brighton. It's been emotional. I will still be taking Disco Deviant on the road for parties elsewhere and am still in love with music and DJing. I just feel we should call time on what's been a fantastic decade of parties.  The final fling will be in November. Before that happens we have the Guv'nor....

Andrew Weatherall has remained a long term favourite of ours, he almost serves as a figurehead and guardian of the realm. Purveyor of quality underground music, a creative and inspired artist and one of the most satisfying DJ's to dance to.

Andrew's DJ schedule looks busier than ever and we are looking forward to having him join Pablo Contraband in the Disco Deviant booth one last time .

A long overdue visit from Tim Keenoy (The Date) who I am happy to welcome to the line up. He's a lovely chap and always makes me laugh a lot too.

PABLO CONTRABAND - Ode to Maurice Fulton mix

Disco Deviant is now into it's 10th year and I am really looking forward to having one of my favourite producers and DJ's Maurice Fulton play a 3 hour set for us on Friday 20th April. It got me thinking about how many of Maurice's productions and remixes I play regularly in my sets. He is prolific and has released under various monikers including Boof, Syclops, Stress and Dr Scratch. His remixes are consistently on another level, sliding easily into classic status as they stand the test of time.

I decided to put an Ode of Maurice Fulton together. A 30 minute mix made entirely of his tracks and remixes. I could of easily made it 2 hours and feel like I left some of his biggest tracks out.

Maurice Fulton returns to Brighton on April 20 for Disco Deviant's 10th Birthday at Hideout.

Maurice Fulton has been a huge influence and a constant feature of so many DJ's sets. His productions are like no-one else's we can think of, perfectly fusing genres and vocals within a framework of super tight percussion and killer bass lines.

His remixes for Rhye, Roisin Murphy and Alice Smith demonstrate this outstanding ability perfectly.

We are so happy to welcome Maurice back to Brighton to play a 3 hour set and celebrate the 10th year of Disco Deviant with us all.

Disco Deviant mainstay Pablo Contraband will be joined by our newest resident and Unity stablemate Tech Support for a night of disco excess at our new favourite, Hideout.

Hope for the Homeless - Friday 9th March at Hideout, Brighton

Pablo Contraband and friends, Affy Go Bang and The Juke of York are getting together to throw one hell of a party in order to raise further funds and awareness around Brighton’s homelessness epidemic.

It’s become an unacceptable situation, and one we feel passionate about and would like to take steps to help as many people get off the streets and back to a safe and stable home life. 
We’ve found the ideal spot to throw the party, Hideout is a new 200 capacity venue that perfectly lend's itself to an intimate house party vibe. They've also just had a cracking Function One sound system installed.
