Greg Henderson - Dreamin'
It had been a while since I had heard this until someone pulled it out at a party following on from the excellent Greg Wilson at Audio. It's been in my head ever since.
Released in 1982, the social back drop at the time was pretty depressing - unemployment, inflation, violence, nuclear stand off, racism. Dreamin' is a clear example of how the youth at the time dealt with the situation. By getting together in a room, dancing like fools and singing along to some of the most positive and inspiring lyrics you'll ever hear.
With some of the nonsense going on in the world today, this is a relevant now as it ever was. A new national anthem for Egypt if ever there was one.

New Cosmic Boogie 12 - Sean P edits
Some beautiful scalpel work form the 'oracle' Sean P. My favourite is this one a lovely edit of Barbara Lynn - You make me so hot.
You Make Me So Hot - Sean P Edit by Cosmic Boogie
Blurb:
Sean has a collection of records that anyone would envy, and here he picks out two tracks that explore a different side of the label. “You Make Me So Hot” is Barbara Lynn under the blade, extending and re arranging a slow-mo disco bomb that will work on any floor. On the flip, “Sunrise” takes Rose Royce’s track from Carwash and creates a true funk monster.
Respectfully edited, wonderfully re-mastered and cut loud at 45 RPM for vinyl lovers, Cosmic Boogie is all about exploring the music.
Please note: These are very low quality PREVIEW files. The tracks will be out vinyl only in the next few weeks.
Catch Cosmic Boogie this Saturday 5th march at The Queen of Hoxton's 2nd Birthday, which we have free guesties for. Simply email your name and why you deserve to see Odyssey live!! and we'll pull a winner on friday at 2pm. email: contrabanddjs@gmail.com
