Here's a short mix I put together at the tail end of 2010. features a handful of tracks I favoured in 2010, I really like every song on this one.

Looking forward to playing a couple of gig's with local lad Rob Fahey he's the guy behind  Blacklodge & Alphabet City and has recently seen a string of releases do pretty well both on vinyl and digitally, he's also been picked up for a couple of compilations, most recently by Ministry of Sound. He's done a few decent edits that are still up for grabs on soundcloud too. If you fancy catching us in action here in Brighton, we are at The Fishbowl on Friday 21 Jan and then at Disco Deviant - Above Audio on Friday Feb 11th. Both free entry bar gigs, so pop in if you can.

Bust it - Finn (Barcelona), Black Lodge & Pablo, Smugglers Friday 3rd December

Finn joins us this Friday night in Brighton from Barcelona. Deep House and Disco are both on the menu for this one.

Finn has been spinning his unique blend of deep, syncopated house for getting on 18years, never for the kudos, only ever for the love of the music. From the now mythical free-parties in the UK to the beaches of Barcelona, from below the Golden Gate to the shores of Yucatan and all points between looking for and usually finding the right vibe.
After swapping in '95 the charms of Bristol for San Francisco in 1996 he founded seminal deephouse label imperial Dub recordings with the mighty Dubtribe Sound System and Corey Black, touring Europe, North America and Mexico. Since 2004 he has been an integral part of Barcelona's house scene. For the last two years he has been producing again as The Groovers with Steve Ferrand

Black Lodge needs no introduction from us, he's gaining quite a rep on the disco scene both here and overseas, mainly due to his somewhat prolific output of originals, remixes and edits - he's been released on some great labels now, including Under the shade, dikso, traveller and featured on Future Balearica comp. More to come.

Blacklodge (Rob Fahey) is a neighbour of mine and has been beavering away on the circuit for a few years, DJing in bars around Brighton and getting to grips with his home studio. It seems his devotion has been rewarded with a flurry of releases on vinyl scheduled over the spring/summer. Some decent labels namely Traveller, Under the shade and Lazy Days have snapped up a few of his tracks and have commissioned remixes from Toby Tobias, Down Town Party network and Love Birds.

The Alphabet City Ep will be available from Phonica & Juno in the next few days.


I expect to hear a lot more of Blacklodge over the next few months. Enjoy

Black Lodge goes Scandanavian

Nice mix from my neighbour Rob Fahey aka Black Lodge. He's put this together ahead of his impending trip to Finland for a radio show called Love Unlimited, giving them a preview his DJ style.
